Striped Turtleneck

Patterns: BurdaStyle’s Shoulder Cutout Shirt #109 09/2017; High Waist Trousers #114 02/2016

Modification: I had made this turtle neck before with the cutout, and loved the fit, so I wanted another version with a wider turtleneck piece and without the cut out. So I placed the front piece on fold using the center front line on my pattern as the guide and cut two of the full sleeve patterns. Then for the turtle neck, I added 2″ of width. Then I wore with my high waisted pants I sewed up a couple of years ago, see them again here!

Fabric: For the top I used a striped sweater knit fabric that I purchased from Fabricland. Using these types of fabrics for projects is the closest thing I’ll come to knitting.

Notes: I have totally over worn this turtleneck – it looks great tucked in, and worn out. It is not to hot, not to cold and makes me feel like I should be on the set of That 70s Show.
