Silk Tank & Linen Pants

Patterns: BurdaStyle’s Lingerie Top 01/2019 #116 & Utility Pants 03/2019 #102A

Modification: The tank I pretty much sewed as is except for adding a center back seam since I didn’t have enough fabric left to cut it out on the fold. Then for the pants I omitted the integrated belt loops with the pocket and instead sewed the top of the pocket into the waistband band. I also installed an exposed metal zipper zipper instead of an invisible one along the side seam.

Fabric: For the tank I used some left over silk from this dress – I had JUST enough, and so glad I made it work since I love this fabric so much and I love using up every little scrap. Then for the pants I had some leftover denim linen that I used for my Pattern Play project in the Jun/July 2019 issue. For the majority of the pants I used the reverse lighter side of the denim linen, then for the pocket I flipped it back to the darker side as I love how they contrast.

Note: This entire look was sewn from scraps/leftovers! The pants pattern is also the same as my May 2019 Mash Up which has a tutorial.
