Pattern: BurdaStyle’s Maxi Dress #101 04/2017
Modification: This top was actually made as the sewn sample when I filmed this maxi dress sew-along and is the same pattern and fabric actually as this dress! When filming sew-alongs you actually have to prepare many different stages of completion of the pattern, similar to a cooking show when they are like “Once you gather it all in and baste… it will look like this!” So this version was to show the completed bust pieces without all the extra fabric for the skirt – and I must say it makes a lovely top.

Notes: Here I’m wearing another version of these shorts using the same fabric, only with a shorter hemline that I left unfinished and frayed slightly.
