Pattern: BurdaStyle’s Fancy Pocket Dress #104B 10/2016
Modification: This dress project was for my Pattern Play column in Sew News Magazine Jun/Jul 2017 issue. I altered the sleeves not to be long and instead be short with a cuff so I can wear in the warmer weather. I also modified the pattern to suit a knit fabric since it was meant for a woven. Fabric: I know this dress wouldn’t be as wonderful without the fabulous digital printed scuba knit I got from Leo’s Textiles on Queen St. in Toronto.
Notes: Being such a great fit, and being sewn in such a wonderful fabric, this dress has become one of my wardrobe favourites. I have already worn it out and those pockets are perfect for placing a phone and/or lipstick in.
