Patterns: BurdaStyle’s ’60s Shift Dress #102 04/2016; Cropped Denim Jacket #109 02/2010
Modification: For the jacket I added a lot of embroidery, as this project was for my Jean Jacket Sew-Along. It is actually a petite sized pattern, but since I wanted it a bit oversized I cut the largest pattern size and lengthened the hem a little bit. No major modifications were done to the dress, just a little bit of hem cropping to suit my short legs.
Fabric: All this denim was from King Textiles in downtown Toronto. I bought a bunch of it since I had to prep step outs for creating the Sew-Along.
Notes: This dress is also featured in my new Introduction to Garment Sewing: Dresses & Tops 101 online sewing course.
