Pattern: BurdaStyle’s Detail Dress #119 08/2017
Modification: This dress was sewn exactly to the pattern specs as I made it for our Dress for Success Sew-Along! The only real modification I guess I did was I cut the waist accent pieces in a contrasting fabric.
Fabric: Speaking of fabric, I used a cotton sateen coral fabric I found at King Textiles in Toronto, and for this version with the accent belt I actually cut them out of the bag my H&M Home duvet cover came in! I love the green bamboo leaf print with pink, and wanted to incorporate it somehow into my dress.
Notes: I wore this dress to my engagement party and received so many compliments. The pleating and gathered accents at the waist are very figure flattering and the stretch in the cotton sateen make this pattern very wearable.
