Patterns: BurdaStyle’s Fur Vest 09/2010 #129 & Dress with Sheer Overlay 12/2018 #101
Modification: Since the beaded fabric I got for my dress was pretty heavy and had a lot of beads, I decided to eliminated the overlay for the skirt. In the end I really liked this change to the pattern because it showed more of the green!
Fabric: The overlay was a beaded nude mesh I purchased from King Textiles in Toronto and I also got the green underlining there as well – it’s a silk in a gorgeous sage green. Then for my little fur vest I used some of Shannon Fabric’s Mink Faux fur in Deep Teal that they sent me. I wasn’t planning on pairing it with this dress, but once both were complete I thought they went quite nicely together.
Notes: The dress was my Mash Up for December 2018 as I wanted a dress to wear for NYE, but I ended up not doing anything so I haven’t worn it yet – still waiting for that special occasion. You can see how I sewed this dress together in parts one, two, and three.
