M & J Wedding!

It seems just like yesterday Julian got down on one knee, and now it’s been just over a month since our wedding. It truly was everything and more I thought it would be. My perfect wedding came to life the evening of September 7th, 2019 and below I share these special moments with you all that I will never forget. Thank you to our loved ones that traveled to attend the wedding and my fellow sewists from all over the world who sent their congratulations – it all meant the world to me (and a full dress/jumpsuit making tutorial will be up soon!).

Dress: Meg made (with the help of BurdaStyle patterns)
Make-up: Meg Healy
Hair: Innovations in Hair
Photography: Jag Gundu
Flowers: Floral Theory

Food: The In Home Chef

Arrivals:

I wanted people to feel like the party started as soon as they arrived, so beer, rosé prosecco and charcuterie we’re available for guests to enjoy and mingle before the ceremony. Special thanks to Toboggan Brewing Co. for the custom wedding beer labels – they were a huge hit.

Ceremony:

My stomach filled with butterflies and my heart with excitement when my dad retrieved me from the back and said “It’s time“… The ceremony was absolutely beautiful and both Julian and I wrote and read our own vows.

Bridal & Family Photos

Right after the ceremony it was Margarita Hour! So you know we took our margaritas to the “official photo shoot” portion of the evening. Always love having these family photographs for special occasions.

Reception:

The reception was complete with a “shot ski”, an outfit change (or two), our first dance which was a swing dance, an epic bouquet toss, conga line and everything in-between.

I wouldn’t change a thing! So many things went off “schedule” but I was just so happy and having so much fun with my guests I just went into “go with the flow” mode and it was perfect. I’m so thrilled with how my look came together as well, and I encourage any sewist who is having second thoughts about making their own wedding outfit just to do it!

My heart is full, my family has grown in size, and so far (haha) married life is fantastic.

Happily ever after,
Meg Healy & Julian Majewksi

Can’t wait to share all my wedding dress sewing details – stay tuned!
