Guess what hit newsstands today! The June/July 2017 issue of Sew News Magazine which features the dress I made on the cover.
I absolutely love writing this column every issue and was thrilled to see my latest project featured. Starting in 2017 I was approached to write the “Pattern Play” where I take a BurdaStyle pattern and teach several pattern modifications readers can apply on the pattern to customize it. Then I sew one, share my sewing experience and make my own variation!
Working with this scuba knit was a dream, as I have always taken to sewing knit fabrics. While I was working at Artistry in Motion (a custom dance and skating costume shop) I never thought I would sew a woven again. Scuba knits are a current obsession, and i have several other completed and on the go projects with them.
Even though this dress was photographed for the cover and on a model I just couldn’t help but getting a few snaps of this dress on myself 🙂
