I have spent the day populating my Sewing Projects section and have filled it with some of my favourite things I have sewn for myself over the past year. Every time I finished sewing a project I’ll add it to the section linking back to the pattern and fabric I have used as well as any tutorial posts I have on the project over on BurdaStyle.com.
The latest project I have posted and completed is my Tropical Jumper. I have been sewing it together for the past couple of weeks and I’m very happy with the final result.
I used BurdaStyle’s Jumper Dress #115 04/2017 pattern and tropical printed canvas from King Textiles. The pattern also called for some hardware which was exciting because I had to bright out my hammer.
This jumper has pockets at the top edge and is finished from both the right and wrong side of the bib.
I used a snap tool that I got at the Leather Sewing and Supply Depot in Toronto and had a blast hammering away.
I fastened the straps to the D-rings with extra snaps that I had, although it isn’t adjustable, it is adorable 🙂
See how I put this jumper together on the BurdaStyle blog in parts one, two and three.
